Horizon Leisure Centres currently run over 150 weekly Exercise Classes across our centres.

14+ Classes

The following classes are deemed suitable for members 14 years and older to attend accompanied by a parent or guardian. These classes will have minimal risk for the adolescent and help them maintain a healthy lifestyle.

  • RPM & Cycle when instructor-led
  • Legs, Bums & Tums
  • Dance Cardio
  • Zumba
  • Body Balance
  • Aqua & Waterworks
  • Body Attack
  • Low Impact Circuits
  • Meditation

Participants aged 14 + may only do these classes when accompanied by their parent or guardian. They will be turned away if they are not accompanied.

What to expect - group exercise classes

Group exercise classes will take place at Havant, Guildford and Waterlooville. Anyone considering attending a group exercise class should familiarise themselves with the following protocols.

  • So we can control capacity numbers, classes must be pre-booked via the Horizon app or website. Alternatively, you can phone the relevant Leisure Centres to book a class.
  • If you cannot make a class, you must inform Horizon two hours before. If you do not, you may be charged for the class or receive a strike.
  • Members can book classes seven days in advance.
  • Pay-as-you-go users can book classes 48 hours in advance with payment.

Terms and Conditions
  • You must have had a welcome visit prior to attending gym based classes.
  • All customers must have taken part in an instructor-led cycle class before they are able to take part in a virtual cycle class.
  • There may be a charge for some specialist classes.
Class Booking Etiquette

Members and pay-as-you-go customers can book fitness classes using the Horizon mobile app or by contacting our centres directly. Here are some guidelines for using this service, including important information about our three-strike rule, which is in place to promote fairness in booking so that as many members as possible can enjoy classes.

Booking a class:

  • We recommend that customers book classes in advance to secure their spot. Members can make class bookings up to seven days in advance and pay-as-you-go customers can book two days in advance, starting from 6am.
  • Classes can be booked at the reception desk, over the phone, or digitally via the Horizon mobile app.

On arrival to a class:

  • Before starting a class, it’s essential for members to swipe in at the reception, logging their attendance for their chosen class.
  • Members must arrive on time for their classes; otherwise, they risk losing their spot to another member or receiving a strike on their account. Members may be turned away by an instructor if the warm-up part of the session is missed.

Cancellation policy:

  • We request that all members cancel a class at least 2 hours in advance of the class start time to avoid receiving a strike against their account.
  • If a member’s class booking is not cancelled but subsequently not attended, a strike will be applied to their account.
  • If a member pre-books classes but fails to attend without notice or cancelling on three separate occasions, they will accumulate three strikes. When a customer accumulates three strikes within a six-week period, they will be temporarily suspended from pre-booking privileges for 7 days. During this period, they will not be able to reserve a class slot in advance, though they will still be able to attend any available classes. This restriction solely applies to a customer’s booking rights.
  • Strikes will remain on a customer’s account for 6 weeks.

What if I have an emergency?:

  • We completely understand that members experience unexpected or unavoidable circumstances that mean they are unable to attend or cancel in time, that’s ok! This is why we allow for up to 3 strikes in a six-week period.

Horizon Leisure’s timetables, instructors and classes are subject to change at any time. We will endeavour to provide notice when a class is unable to take place for any reason. Horizon Leisure monitors the booking data to understand group exercise performance and works to optimise timetables accordingly, ensuring they meet as many customers’ needs as possible.

Waterlooville Pool

Waterlooville swimming pool will be closed this weekend, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October, due to a swimming Gala.

Lessons in the splash pool will still be taking place as usual.
