Waterlooville Gym is a modern, award-winning, naturally-lit, three-storey air-conditioned gym.

 

The gym boasts more than 120 state-of-the-art work stations that replicate the action of cycling, walking, running, skating, rowing and climbing, including treadmills, cross trainers, summit trainers, rowers, bicycles and rowers.

It has dedicated areas for resistance training and free-weights, as well as a functional training frame, designed for working out using your own body weight, to help develop core strength and coordination.

You can use Waterlooville Gym as a member or pay-as-you-go user. The Membership price includes the use of all Horizon Centres.

To join, visit our Membership Page, or to book a tour, please fill out the Book a Gym Tour form below. We offer free gym tours to members and non-members. Before using the gym, all gym users must have completed a gym induction (at either Havant or Waterlooville). Your induction can be booked by calling the gym directly.

Lockers & Padlocks

Lockers available in the gym are secured with a personal padlock. You can bring your own or padlocks can be purchased from reception for £3.80.

Height Restricting Barrier

Please be aware that there is a height restricting barrier (approximately 2 metres) on the car park at Waterlooville Leisure Centre.

  • Please speak to a member of the gym team for any further training advice, including use of gym machines.
  • Mobile phones can be used with consideration of others in the gym.
  • All bags and clothing are to be put into the lockers provided.
  • All gym users must wear appropriate clothing and footwear (no jeans, flip-flops or bare feet).
  • Please wipe down the machines after use with the disinfectant and paper towels provided.
  • Return all free weights and bars to their racks after use.
  • Do not drop weights – if you can’t put them down, they are too heavy.
  • No chalk to be used in the gym – only liquid chalk is acceptable.
  • No bad language.

Waterlooville Gym

Waterlooville gym offers some of the best value for money exercise facilities available in the area. Staffed by fully qualified friendly gym instructors, who will offer you great advice and motivation to help you achieve your exercise goals. Horizon has a commitment to continuous improvements and last year saw new additional equipment being added. Waterlooville gym now has

a vast range of machines including treadmills, cross trainers, steppers, summit trainers, flex-striders, rowers, spinning bikes, stationary bicycles, rowers and exciting new Power Mills. Waterlooville gym has resistance equipment caters for every muscle group in the body and comprises a great selection of free-weight machines and weights alongside a functional training area.

Getting to Horizon Guildford

Horizon Guildford is located on Epsom Road, Merrow, Guildford, Gu4 7AA. It is a short drive from the A3 and has ample visitor parking spaces.

If you are travelling by train, the nearest station is London Road (Guildford), which is about 2 miles away from the centre. You can take a taxi or bus from there to reach us.

The following busses stop near Horizon Guildford: 18, 25, 463, 479. You can check the timetables and routes on the surrey county Council Website.

By Car: The Entrance to the car park is just off Elm Lane; please use PO9 1UN for the sat nav.

By Bus: Havant’s main Bus Depot is located right next to the Meridian Shopping Centre in Elm Lane and all local bus routes start or end from here. Find out more information about Havant Bus Station: http://www.havant.gov.uk/havant-4634.

By Train: Havant Train Station is approximately 3 minutes walk to Meridian Shopping Centre. Exit the station, walking South down through Market Parade.
