About Adult Swimming Lessons at Horizon Leisure Centres

The classes take place each week, they are 30 minutes long with classes available on a range of days and times at both Havant and Waterlooville Leisure Centres.

There are four swimming lessons levels including: 

  • Adult Beginners
  • Adult Swim Fit
  • Adult Improver 1
  • Adult Improver 2

Help with Swimming Lessons

If you have two small children and want to take them both swimming or to parent and child swimming lessons our Crèche can help!

Our Crèche staff can supervise and change one child while you swim with the other, then swap them over and get the first one changed.

Horizon Swim School offer a range of one-to-one lessons at both Havant and Waterlooville, if you want to learn how to swim but would rather do it with just you and a personal swimming instructor this is the perfect option for you.

Swimming lessons are 30 minutes long and taught in groups.

Adult Direct Debit payment option – includes one half hour swim lesson per week plus free public lane swimming*.

There is no contract however we do require a months written notice prior to cancelling.

We do not offer refunds or additional lessons if you miss a lesson for illness or otherwise.

*Please be advised that public lane swimming is for competent swimmers only.

If the time or class doesn’t meet your needs don’t forget Horizon offer a range of swimming lessons at both Havant and Waterlooville sites.

Horizon also offers weekly aqua exercise classes, swim only membership option and there is the Havant and Waterlooville Swimming Club.

Baby & Toddler Swimming Lessons

Baby & toddler swimming lessons provide a great introduction to water confidence, with games, singing and toys in the pool.

Children Swimming Lessons

Children can swim their way through our syllabus up to Level 10 earning their hats, badges and certificates along the way.

Level 7 Plus Kids Swimming

Alternative swimming lessons are available such as Young Lifesaver, Junior Diver, Synchro and Junior Swimfit.

One to One Swimming Lessons

Horizon Swim School offer one-to-one and two-to-one private swimming lessons.

School Swimming Lessons

Horizon Leisure Centers provide pool space as well as lessons with a qualified swimming teacher for schools in the local community.
