Waterlooville Redevelopment Update
Dear Members,
Following the public consultation and in partnership with Havant Borough Council (HBC), who are leading the project plan, our leisure and wellbeing centre will undergo a substantial upgrade as construction works commence.
The exact details of the work will be finalised in the coming months through a dedicated ‘Design and Build’ programme. These details will be shaped with oversight from HBC, but we remain committed to delivering the best possible outcome for you. At the heart of the project is a bold transformation of the facilities, designed to cater to the diverse needs of local residents. Once the design phase is complete, we will share further updates outlining the final plans.
Made Possible Through Partnership
This project is a true collaboration, made possible by a shared vision and financial commitment from Havant Borough Council, the primary funding partner, alongside Winchester City Council and Horizon Leisure Trust.
Work Behind the Scenes
To ensure the successful delivery of this refurbishment, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes. With HBC’s oversight, we recently appointed Savernake, an experienced and highly skilled project management company, who are actively scoping out the redevelopment preparing to appoint a suitable contractor to bring the development to life.
Keeping You Updated
We are committed to your wellbeing and will continue to provide key updates as we move closer to the start of construction, including any changes to the centre’s operation during the works. We want to reassure you that we plan to keep the centre open throughout the building process, minimising disruption as much as possible.
For further information on the project’s progress, please contact activewellbeing@havant.gov.uk
Finally, we want to thank you for your continued support and patience. Horizon Waterlooville has been a cornerstone of the community for many years, and we can’t wait to see it revitalised to meet the needs of future generations.
Kind regards,
Mike Lyons CEO
