Designed for confident swimmers aged 8 and over only (including adults), TidalX brings a fun challenge to the pool as participants race across the inflatable before splashing back into the water.
Launching this Easter holiday, sessions will run at both Havant and Waterlooville, with two unique inflatable layouts designed to test your balance, speed and agility.

What is TidalX?
TidalX is a floating inflatable obstacle course set up across the swimming pool. Participants climb, balance, slide and race across the course before splashing back into the water and going again.
TidalX is part of Horizon’s inflatable series, alongside our popular AirXtreme obstacle course.
Spaces are limited and sessions can sell out fast during school holidays. Ensure you sign your waiver before your session.
Havant
A dual-lane course built for side-by-side racing.

Waterlooville
A bold, high-impact course featuring balance challenges and spiked obstacles to test your agility and nerve.

TidalX Availability
TidalX launches during the Easter holidays and will run on selected dates at both Havant and Waterlooville.
Sessions will also take place on the first Saturday of each month during term time.

Who can take part?
TidalX is open to confident swimmers aged 8 and over (including adults).
Children under 8 are not permitted to take part in TidalX sessions. Why not check out our family float session instead?
Swim Competency Test
All participants must also pass a swim competency test on arrival before using the inflatable.
Those who pass will receive a wristband allowing them to use the inflatable.
Participants who do not pass the swim competency test will not be able to use the inflatable. Refunds will not be issued.

Participants 8+ do not need adult supervision on the inflatable.
Children under 8 cannot use the inflatable.
Before taking part in TidalX, participants must complete a short swim competency test.
This involves:

Swimming one length of the pool (25m)

Treading water for 30 seconds
Those who successfully complete the test will be able to take part in TidalX.
If a participant does not pass the swim test, they won’t be able to use the inflatable.
TidalX runs at Havant Leisure Centre and Waterlooville Leisure Centre.
TidalX launches during the Easter holidays and runs for three days each half-term week.
During term time, TidalX will run on the first Saturday of every month.
Yes. Pre-booking is essential as spaces are limited and sessions often sell out quickly.
Participants should wear swimwear suitable for active play, such as a swimsuit or swim shorts. We recommend no zips, buckles, or sharp accessories, as these can damage the inflatable. Goggles are optional, but must be secure.
If a participant does not pass the swim competency test, they will not be able to use the inflatable.
However, they can still enjoy the session by swimming and using floats in the other side of the pool during the same time slot.
The swim competency test is there to ensure that everyone can safely take part in the inflatable obstacle course.
Please note that tickets are non-refundable if a participant does not pass the swim competency test, as the pool space and session will still be available to use.
