The Duckling Awards are the perfect next step after completing the Discovery Duckling Awards. Tailored for toddlers, these awards are designed to make learning to swim a joyful experience, with parents or guardians supporting their little swimmers as they grow more confident in the water.

Your child will work towards earning four colourful Duckling Awards, each celebrated with its own certificate and badge to mark their progress and accomplishments.

• Duckling 1 introduces basic movements, encouraging children to move independently in the water.
• By Duckling 4, your little one will be jumping in, going underwater, floating, and travelling 10 metres without support!

The Duckling Awards promote increased water confidence and independence, preparing your child for Stage 1 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework.

The Learn to Swim Stage 1-10 Awards are divided into progressive stages. They form the core national syllabus for teaching children learning to swim. to swim

They are designed to reward your child for developing the essential aquatic skills to be confident, competent and safe in the water.

Each Learn to Swim Stage 1-10 Award has a list of clear outcomes that must be completed to gain each Award.

Horizon Swim School offers one-to-one and two-to-one private swimming lessons for both children and adults. These personalised swimming lessons are available at all our Centres.

Fun fitness sessions for young swimmers concentrating on improving stamina, fitness swimming skills and techniques.

Building on fitness and personal survival skills, as well as water safety and casualty recognition skills, swimmers can work their way through the Lifesavers Levels (one to three and then Advanced).

Advanced level is a great platform to the NPLQ course, which gives teenagers and young adults the qualifications to work as a lifeguard.

Synchronised swimming embodies the art of blending precise aquatic movements with coordinated choreography, all elegantly set to music. Participants in this captivating sport learn a fusion of graceful gestures, gymnastic elements, and fluid dance techniques within the aquatic realm.

To ensure a seamless transition into synchronised swimming, your aspiring swimmer should have completed at least Level 8 within our Swim School programme, or present an equivalent proficiency from an alternate accredited scheme.
