PSA Testing at the Wellbeing Hub
On the 17th April, at the Horizon Wellbeing Hub, we are inviting men to get their Prostate Specific Antigen levels tested. The test is done by taking a small amount of blood and will detect any abnormalities that may need further investigation. Testing will take place from 9:30 to 17:15 and cost £25. Only limited spaces are available, so ensure to book your spot quickly through this link.
What Does the Test Tell Me?
A high reading can be an indication of issues such as enlargement of the prostate, a urinary infection, or potentially prostate cancer. Although this test is not to diagnose cancer, regularly monitoring PSA levels is the best method of reducing prostate-related mortality. Since a raised PSA level may indicate further issues, you will be prompted to visit your GP, who will discuss your results with you further.
Where is the Testing Being Held?
The testing is being held at the Horizon Wellbeing Hub in the Meridian Shopping Centre in Havant. The Wellbeing Hub is your one-stop shop for better health, integrating physical, mental and emotional aspects to help you become the best version of yourself. In addition to our health checks, which we always offer as part of our service, there are often opportunities to take part in tests and checks, like this one. We aim to support the health and wellbeing of our community.
Make sure to book your spot and come along on the 17th April. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this service further, pop into the Wellbeing Hub and speak to our friendly team. Alternatively, call 023 92488 461 or email us at wellbeinghub@horizonlc.com.
