Fun Things to Do with the Kids This Easter at Horizon
Here at Horizon, we host various fun activities for the whole family. From our new THRIVE programme to the Easter Party at Oceans of Play, something is exciting for everyone. In this blog post, we will explore some of the fun things you can do as a family at Horizon to keep everyone entertained during the Easter Holidays.
Our New THRIVE Programme:
Launching on 1st April is THRIVE, our new initiative for children and young people from 0 to 15. We have a variety of activities for young people, like the Boccia and Scooter Club or Knit and Sit and Study Club, and activities that the whole family can enjoy, like Family Yoga and Family Circuits. Sign up for one of our new THRIVE memberships and make the most of everything this programme offers.
Junior Gym:
We run extended Junior Gym sessions over half terms! These are aimed at those aged 10 to 15 and run from 10 am to 3 pm. All session attendees must have an induction and be accompanied by a parent/carer, making it a fun opportunity to work as a family. We recommend booking these sessions to avoid disappointment.
Swimming:
Swimming with the family is a great way to get active together over the Easter holidays. Moreover, it is a low-impact exercise, making it an inclusive activity for family members of all abilities. We have public swimming slots all days of the week at all sites; check our timetables on our website for our scheduled times before you visit. We also run Family Float, exciting sessions involving pool floats, music, and fun for little ones.
If you have a 4 to 13-year-old who would like to improve their swimming skills this Easter, we are running an Intensive Swimming Course at Havant and Waterlooville for £45. Call the centres to find out more information and to book a place.
Oceans of Play:
We have a thrilling four-level play centre over at our Havant site for little ones to immerse themselves in this half-term. Whilst your children are exploring, there is a large seating area with WIFI for you to unwind or catch up with other parents. We also have an Oceans of Play Easter Party on Friday 29th March! This will include games, a live DJ and a visit from the Easter bunny, all for £10 a ticket. This can be booked by calling or visiting our Havant centre.
Active8 Minds:
Active8 Minds holds a Holiday Club at Horizon Havant every half term, aimed at children from Year R to Year 7. They deliver fun and engaging sports, games and arts & crafts to ensure that children remain active and develop new skills while not at school. Visit www.active8minds.co.uk for more information and to book a spot this Easter half term.
Cafes and Pool Tables:
Visit the Hangout @ Horizon in Havant, which has state-of-the-art pool tables and seating. Alternatively, we also have pool tables in our spacious cafe area at our Waterlooville site. This is a great space to unwind as a family and refuel after exercising.
With a diverse range of activities catering to every age and interest, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We can’t wait to welcome you to Horizon during the Easter holidays.
