1. Horizon Leisure:
Horizon Leisure operates Horizon Havant, Waterlooville and Guildford. The operating hours may vary from time to time, and any changes will be displayed in the Reception areas and on the company website.
2. Membership:
a) To become a member of Horizon, customers must complete the membership sign-up process online or in the centre. Each application form must include the relevant admin fee, pro-rata payment and a completed direct debit instruction form. Membership starts from the date of acceptance after receiving the fees.
b) The available memberships and their usage restrictions can be found online at https://horizonlc.com. By becoming a member, customers can book activities and facilities up to seven days in advance and enjoy reduced admission charges for certain activities.
c) Horizon Leisure may change the type of membership and its conditions at any time at their discretion.
d) Horizon Leisure has absolute discretion to reject any application or renewal for membership without providing any reasons for doing so. In such cases, any advance payments made will be refunded.
3. Facilities, Activities and Usage:
a) All facilities and activities are subject to availability.
b) Members must ensure they are fit and healthy to use all facilities.
c) Membership of the gym is available for those aged 10 and over.
d) Members must vacate all buildings, activities, and facilities on or before the specified closing time.
e) If essential maintenance or refurbishment results in the closure of facilities for more than 28 days and alternative facilities/centres are not available, membership will be extended for the duration of the closure beyond the 28th day to the nearest whole month.
f) All members must adhere to gym etiquette at all times. We reserve the right to terminate any membership whereby repeated neglect for etiquette is evident.
g) Customers should speak to the centre team if they are concerned about the height restricting barrier in Waterlooville Leisure Centre car park prior to purchasing a membership.
h) Horizon Leisure reserves the right to impose strikes and temporary booking bans on members who fail to attend a booked class without cancelling.
4. Membership Cards:
a) Upon entering Horizon’s facilities, members must present their membership cards to Reception or the self-service kiosks. Members must bring their membership cards to gain access. If they fail to do so three times in a row, a new card must be purchased, or entry will be refused.
b) If a member loses their card, a replacement card will be issued at their cost.
c) Membership cards are non-transferable.
d) A membership card will be issued upon acceptance of an application.
5. Health and Safety:
Any member who experiences an accident in Horizon’s facilities must report it to a staff member immediately.
6. Customer Charter:
Horizon aims to provide quality leisure facilities and excellent customer service. In return, customers are asked to always behave respectfully, as outlined in the Customer Charter. Customers who act in a manner that is rude, intimidating, abusive, aggressive, or confrontational will be asked to leave Horizon immediately. Any individual who disrupts or negatively impacts the experience of other guests will also be asked to leave. Horizon reserves the right to terminate the membership of any customer who behaves in this manner.
7. Customer Relations:
Horizon’s Customer Relations team strives to represent all customers’ views and meet their needs. Customer feedback is highly valued, reviewed carefully, and responded to as promptly as possible. Customers who have concerns or issues should contact the team on customerelations@horizonlc.com.
8. Class Cancellations:
Horizon Leisure may cancel classes and activities in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Horizon will make every effort to notify customers of cancellations by phone, email, or the Horizon mobile app. Members will not be refunded for cancelled classes.
9. Liability:
Horizon and its employees will not be liable for the loss of or damage to property, personal injury or death of any member, except to the extent that such arises from negligence of Horizon Leisure, its employees or agents.
10. General Data Protection Regulation:
To ensure the comfort and safety of all customers, filming or photographing for personal use or other purposes while using the facilities is prohibited unless prior permission is granted by management. Horizon Leisure is committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation.
11. Compliance with Terms and Conditions:
a) Members are bound by and accept the Terms and Conditions of Horizon Leisure.
b) Horizon Leisure may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
