Swimming from 1 April? Here’s what’s changing

From 1 April, we’ll be introducing wristbands for all public swim sessions, for both members and pay-as-you-go swimmers. This applies to our Havant and Waterlooville centres.

It’s a simple change designed to help us manage sessions smoothly and clearly, especially at busier times.

What does this mean?

If you’re swimming from 1 April, you’ll wear a wristband during your session.

That includes members and pay-as-you-go swimmers.

Children and adults will both wear one and it simply helps our team clearly manage each session.

How do I get a wristband?

It’s straightforward:

Book online
Your wristband will be ready when you arrive, making check-in quicker.

Walking in?
No problem, you can collect a wristband at reception before your swim.

So whether you book in advance or decide on the day, you’ll still be able to swim as normal.

Why are wristbands being introduced?

• Keep sessions within capacity
• Reduce confusion at busy times
• Make sure everyone is in the right swim
• Support a smoother arrival experience

It’s simply about keeping swimming organised and enjoyable for everyone.

Do I need to do anything now?

If you’re planning to swim in April, you can book online as usual. Booking ahead will always give you the quickest start to your session. So whether you book in advance or decide on the day, you’ll still be able to swim as normal.

We’ll be introducing this gradually over the first few months while everyone gets used to the new system.

See you in the pool.
