FREE Member Parking Now Available at Horizon Havant (2 Hours)

We’re pleased to introduce free parking for Horizon Havant members, designed to make visiting us simpler and more convenient during busy periods.

This initiative has been made possible through an agreement with the local council and is intended to support our direct debit members while helping manage demand fairly across the site.

Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about how the scheme works, who it’s for, and how to make sure your parking is registered correctly.

What is it?

Free parking for up to 2 hours per visit is now available for eligible Horizon Havant members when using our Main Car Park.

This applies during chargeable parking hours and has been introduced to make it easier for members to access the centre for swimming, training, classes, and gym sessions.

Who is it for?

This offer is available to:

  • Horizon Havant direct debit members only

This includes swim school members who pay by direct debit.

The following are not eligible for free parking under this scheme:

  • Pay As You Go (PAYG) customers
  • Casual or non-member users
  • Visitors using the car park for non-Horizon activities

If you are not a direct debit member, standard parking charges will continue to apply.

Important: Daily parking capacity

As part of our agreement with Havant Borough Council, free member parking is limited to 100 vehicles at any one time. This means:

  • Once 100 vehicle registrations are active at any one time, the free parking allocation is temporarily full. The parking machine will let you know if the free parking allocation is currently full, and parking will need to be paid for as normal.
  • As spaces become available again (when a registered parking session ends), free parking can then be used by the next arriving member.
  • If the free parking allocation is full when you arrive, parking will need to be paid for, even if you are a member.

We understand this may be disappointing during busier periods. This limit allows us to offer free parking as fairly as possible, while working within council restrictions.

How long can I park for?

To Members can park free for up to 2 hours per visit. If you have used our free parking, there is no return within 6 hours.

Stays longer than 2 hours must be paid for or topped up using the RingGo app or the on-site payment machine.

Free parking applies only in the Main Car Park located in front of reception.

How does it work?

To ensure your free parking is registered correctly, you must register your vehicle every time you visit, even if you have used the scheme before.

You can do this in two ways:

Option 1: Use the parking machines on site

Parking machines are available:

  • At reception
  • In the gym

When using the machine, please follow all steps carefully:

  1. Enter your vehicle registration number
  2. Select 2 hours of parking
  3. Allow a few seconds for the system to process
  4. Press confirm
  5. Wait for the on-screen confirmation showing your parking has been approved

Please don’t rush this process. If all steps are not completed and confirmed, your vehicle may not be registered correctly, which could result in a parking charge.

Option 2: Scan the QR code

QR codes are displayed on signs inside the building. Scanning the code allows you to register your vehicle digitally by entering your registration number and selecting the 2-hour option.

Important information to note

  • Parking registration must be completed on every visit
  • If your vehicle is not registered, or if the 100-vehicle limit at one time has been reached, standard parking charges apply
  • Parking enforcement is managed by Havant Borough Council
  • Vehicles not registered correctly may receive a Parking Charge Notice
  • This scheme applies only to Horizon Havant’s Main Car Park and not to any other Horizon locations

Need help?

If you’re unsure how to register your parking, or would like support using the machines or QR code, our team at reception will be happy to help.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep parking fair and accessible for all members.
