Family Fitness at Horizon | Fun for All Ages

Family fitness at Horizon is all about keeping every generation active, healthy, and happy. Our leisure centres in Havant, Waterlooville, and Guildford welcome everyone, from toddlers to grandparents, with activities that make exercise part of everyday life. Instead of parents worrying about childcare or children waiting on the sidelines, everyone can join in, move more, and have fun together.

For Children: Learning and Play in Equal Measure

Confidence in the water

Our Swim School is one of the most popular ways for children to stay active and learn an essential life skill. Led by qualified instructors, lessons help children progress through structured stages, earning certificates and celebrating milestones along the way. Whether it is their first splash or they are developing advanced strokes, each session builds water confidence, coordination, and resilience.

Peace of mind with the crèche

Parents of little ones can focus on their own workouts while our trained staff care for children in the welcoming crèche. It is a safe and stimulating space filled with play and learning, giving parents the freedom to exercise knowing their child is happy and cared for.

THRIVE activities all year round

Our THRIVE programme runs throughout the year at our Havant and Waterlooville centres, offering fun, active sessions that help children stay healthy and confident. From Boxercise and Scooter Club to team games and creative play, THRIVE gives kids the chance to move, learn new skills, and make friends in a safe, supportive setting.

During school holidays, the programme gets even bigger, with extra events and sessions to keep everyone active and entertained. It is the perfect way for children to enjoy fitness while parents can relax knowing they are in good hands.

For Teenagers: Finding Their Own Rhythm

Teenagers can explore their independence through our Junior Gym sessions, designed to help them get comfortable with gym equipment and learn how to train safely. These sessions are supervised by qualified instructors who support each young person at their own pace, helping them build confidence and develop healthy habits that last.

For those who prefer group activity, there are options such as dance fitness, circuits, and swimming clubs that combine fitness with fun. It is all about helping them find activities they enjoy and feel proud of.

For Parents and Adults: Time for You

Between family, work, and everything in between, finding time for yourself can be a challenge. Horizon makes it easier by offering flexible ways to stay active. Whether you prefer a solo gym session, a few laps in the pool, or joining a motivating group class, there is always something to suit your energy and routine.

You will find classes in everything from Spin, BodyCombat, and BodyPump to Yoga and BodyBalance, all led by experienced instructors who make everyone feel welcome. Afterwards, you can relax with a coffee in the café or unwind with a swim.

For Older Adults: Staying Strong and Social

Our older members are an important part of the Horizon community, and there are plenty of ways to stay active and connected. The Wellbeing Hub in Havant offers a supportive space for anyone looking to improve their health, strength, and confidence, with sessions and advice tailored to individual needs.

Low-impact fitness classes and aqua sessions are great for maintaining mobility and joint health while staying social. Many of our older members enjoy swimming for its gentle, full-body benefits and the sense of relaxation it brings.
