Launching this Easter, TidalX will be running at both Havant and Waterlooville, with two unique inflatable designs and the same epic experience.

What is TidalX?

TidalX is a floating inflatable obstacle course set up across the swimming pool. Participants climb, balance, slide and race across the course before splashing back into the water and going again.

TidalX is part of Horizon’s inflatable series, alongside our popular AirXtreme obstacle course.

Spaces are limited and sessions can sell out during school holidays.

Havant

A dual-lane course built for side-by-side racing.

Who can take part?
Tidal X is for children aged 8–15 years only.
No adults on the inflatable. All participants must be confident swimmers.

Swim Competency Test
Before using the inflatable, every child must complete a swim competency test on arrival.

On arrival, children will receive a wristband to complete the swim test. If they pass, they will receive a second wristband, which allows them to use the inflatable. Children who do not pass the swim test will not be allowed on the inflatable.

Please also remember to fill out your waiver before your session.

What is TidalX?

TidalX is a large inflatable obstacle course set up in the swimming pool. Participants climb, balance, slide, and race across the inflatable before splashing back into the water.

What age is TidalX suitable for?

TidalX is suitable for children aged 8–15 years only. Adults and children under 8 are not permitted on the inflatable.

Can I bring children of different ages to TidalX?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring children of different ages.

Children aged 8–15 can take part in TidalX (subject to passing the swim competency test).

Children under 8 can use the other half of the pool while the TidalX session is running.

Do children need to be supervised by an adult?

Yes. An adult must remain on site at all times while a child is taking part in TidalX.

Adults are not permitted on the inflatable.

Children over 8 do not need to be supervised.

Adults can supervise younger children under 8 in the pool or watch from the café viewing area if their child is over 8.

What does the swim test involve?

Before taking part in TidalX, children will complete a short swim competency test.

This involves:

  • Swimming one length of the pool

  • Treading water for 30 seconds

Children who successfully complete the test will be able to take part in TidalX.

If a child does not pass the swim test, they won’t be able to use the inflatable. This is to ensure the safety of all participants

Where does TidalX run?

TidalX runs at Havant Leisure Centre and Waterlooville Leisure Centre.

When can I book TidalX?

TidalX launches during the Easter holidays and runs for three days each half-term week, with one session weekend per month at each centre outside of holidays.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Pre-booking is essential as spaces are limited to 50 and sessions often sell out quickly.

What should my child wear?

Participants should wear swimwear suitable for active play, such as a swimsuit or swim shorts. We recommend no zips, buckles, or sharp accessories, as these can damage the inflatable. Goggles are optional, but must be secure.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. You will not be able to participate unless a waiver has been signed. Please ensure this is completed before your session starts.
