Posting a workout selfie can quite often leave you accused of being a ‘poser’ or ‘vain’ but here at Horizon we encourage our members to snap before or after working up a sweat and really do love to see your uploads!
There’s more than one reason to fill your feeds with your best workout poses and below we are going to list a few reasons we are backing strong selfie games!
No Negative Vibes
‘Haters gona hate’ , and 9 times out of 10 the haters are those that don’t set foot in the gym so don’t understand the huge buzz of a workout and all the health benefits that come with. We believe you should be proud of your sesh and shout it from the roof tops! So what better way than to snap your sweat in all its glory and get it on the Gram!
Whether we admit it or not, it’s always nice to be complimented and social media, although it has a reputation for trolling, it’s also a great platform for a confidence boost and a place for your friends and virtual friends to leave heart eye and fire emoji’s, who doesn’t love being told they are flames in their gym gear?
Ever heard of Mr Motivator? A few regular Gym pics and you can basically add that to your CV. You may be exactly what someone lacking motivation really needs! It doesn’t have to be a picture of you looking your best, you’re more than likely going to give someone that kick into gear they have been after for so long by showing you keeping it real, messy hair, red faces, water bottle in hand…don’t hold back!
6 months from now, when you’re feeling down in the dumps and like you are getting nowhere fast, you can look back through your selfies and see how far you really have come, there’s a saying ‘pictures speak a thousand words’ and we couldn’t agree more, from visual results to remembering how you felt confidence and fitness wise when you first started, you’ll be glad you filled your feed with those poses and feel great about your journey!
So if you haven’t already got a folder named ‘Gym selfies’ on your camera roll, we hope you do now! There’s nothing wrong with a bit of ‘vanity’ especially when you are doing it in the name of health! And don’t forget to @ Horizons social media accounts because we are already your number one fans and will be sure to ‘like’ your posts!
