Baby & toddler swimming lessons provide a great introduction to water confidence, with games, singing and toys in the pool.

Horizon Leisure Centre’s baby and toddler swimming lessons are available from when babies are 3 months old after they have had their second set of injections (if you have any doubts, consult your midwife or doctor first).

About Baby & Toddler Swimming Lessons at Horizon

The parent and baby/toddler swimming lessons provide a great introduction to water confidence, with games, singing and toys in the pool. Swimming lessons are also a great way for new mums and dads to have fun with their babies and meet other parents.

The baby and toddler swimming lessons are for 30 minutes and are taught in the splash pools at both Havant and Waterlooville by fully qualified instructors.

There is a range of swimming levels from Baby Introduction through to Toddler Splash 3. Parents and babies/toddlers can work their way through the swimming levels or join at any stage.

All the baby and toddler swimming lessons require the parents to be in the swimming pool with their baby/toddler.

Baby Introduction Water confidence class using a variety of toys and songs.
Toddler Splash 1 Water confidence with toys and songs as well as movement in the water and water skills.
Toddler Splash 2 Basic water skills, submerging and introduction to swimming skills.

Swim nappies must be worn by the very young.

You and your baby/toddler will need a swimming costume as well as a towel to dry off.

Direct Debit payment option – includes swimming lessons and free public swimming. Free public swimming is for the parent and baby (up to the age of 3) and free swimming is for the toddler only aged 3+ at both Havant and Waterlooville Leisure Centres.

There is no contract however we do require a month’s written notice prior to cancelling.

Horizon does not offer/provide refunds.

Horizon does not offer refunds or additional lessons if you miss a class for illness or otherwise.

If you/your child is ill or has been sick in the last 24 hours they should not swim.

Children can swim their way through our syllabus up to Level 10 earning their hats, badges and certificates along the way.

Level 7 Plus Kids Swimming

Our Horizon Level 7 Plus children’s swimming lessons are for more confident child swimmers and are delivered by professionally qualified swimming teachers.

One to One Swimming Lessons

Horizon Swim School offer one-to-one and two-to-one private swimming lessons.
