Throughout the pandemic, we have been focused on keeping our customers and staff safe. As government guidance on Covid-19 continues to change, we have updated our FAQs on the safety measures we continue to take in our centres.

While the easing of restrictions means that some safety measures will no longer be a legal requirement, we’ve listened to our customers, and we know a lot of people remain cautious. In line with the government advice to act carefully, we feel it’s important to continue with certain measures so that everyone feels as safe as possible in our centres.

Here’s how you can help us:

  • Keep wearing a face covering in our centres if you can
  • Maintain a safe distance from other guests
  • Continue to follow the one-way-systems in our centres
  • Continue to sanitise your hands and your equipment before and after use

Latest Government guidelines for July 19th

GENERAL

Q. Do I have to wear a face mask when visiting Horizon Leisure Centres?

Horizon Leisure Centre staff will continue to wear face coverings and we invite our customers to do the same. Our preference would be for all customers to wear a face mask in our centres unless you are exercising or consuming food and drink; under the age of 11 years or exempt for medical reasons.

We realise that some customers may feel nervous about returning to our centres and we want everyone to feel as safe and as comfortable as possible. Wearing a mask, from 19th July, is no longer legally required and if you would prefer not to wear one, we understand. Please respect each other’s decisions and allow for space.

Q. What measures will continue to be in place ?

The following measures will continue to be in place:

• Posters on display to encourage customers to maintain social distancing.
• Directional arrows indicating a one-way system to allow for safe flow around our centres.
• Regular cleaning and sanitising of all areas, with even more focus on key touch points.
• Face coverings whilst visiting our centres are preferred, but not legally required.
• The capacity for public swimming sessions and studio classes will increase but at a pace that we feel everyone will feel comfortable with.
• Hand sanitising stations at key locations across our centres, along with sanitiser spray and paper towels within the gyms and studios, so that customers can wipe down their equipment before and after use (no personal gym-towels will be permitted).

We respectfully ask that all customers avoid visiting our centres if you feel unwell and/or have Covid-19 symptoms and/or have recently come into contact with anyone displaying such symptoms.
