Spring is well underway and before you know it summer will be here but don’t worry if you’re not feeling summer ready just yet, there is still time!
Here are our top tips to get you feeling happier and healthier just in time for the summer…
Don’t just focus on weight loss
Getting summer ready isn’t just about losing the lbs., it’s about strength, endurance and most importantly good health. You want to have energy to enjoy the outdoors this summer, and getting into shape will help you make the most of the warmer season.
Don’t hang all your expectations and motivations on the number that appears on the dreaded scales, instead motivate yourself with achievable yet challenging goals!
Consider a personal trainer
If exercise is new to you and you’re not sure where to start rather than waste your days getting to know your way around a gym why not get a PT to help advise and support you along the way. Having a sense of accountability and somebody to point you in the right direction will make sure you don’t lose that much needed motivation.
Find activities that you love
If the gym isn’t for you, don’t panic there’s plenty of other ways to get yourself feeling fit. Why not try an early morning swim to get yourself ready for the day.

With the warmer weather creeping it is important to make sure you stay hydrated but not only that staying hydrated is vital to help regulate and maximise the body’s fat burning capacity.
Many health studies recommend drinking around 2 litres of water per day to reap the health benefits.
Most importantly, have fun! Remember, getting healthy doesn’t mean spending all your time running on a treadmill. Mix it up and keep it enjoyable. If you don’t enjoy something you’ll never stick with it.
