A New Youth Club Is Coming to Horizon Havant

We’re bringing a new youth club to Horizon Havant this summer.

It’s a space for young people aged 13 to 17 to spend time, meet others, and feel comfortable being themselves. Somewhere safe, welcoming, and built with the community in mind.

Why We’re Doing This

We know that not every young person has somewhere to go after school or in their free time.

Over the past year, we’ve been listening to local families, partners, and young people themselves. One thing kept coming up. There’s a need for more safe, positive spaces where young people can spend time, build confidence, and feel like they belong.

That’s exactly what this youth club is here to provide.

Working With the Community

This isn’t something we’re doing alone.

We’re working alongside Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and the Children and Young Persons Social Prescribing Team to help bring this space to life. Bringing together local insight, support networks, and community experience to make sure it’s genuinely impactful.

It’s a shared effort, focused on creating something that works for the young people who need it most.

What the Youth Club Will Offer

This won’t be a structured environment where young people feel told what to do.

It’s a space where they can socialise, take part in activities, and build confidence in a way that feels natural.

Young people will be able to spend time in a relaxed setting, meet others, try something new, and access support if they need it. We will also introduce opportunities focused on wellbeing, confidence, and life skills in a way that feels approachable and easy to engage with.

Designed Around What Young People Want

This space is being shaped by the people who will use it.

One of the first things they asked for was simple. Pool tables.

They help create a space that feels social, relaxed, and easy to walk into. Somewhere you can just arrive and feel comfortable.

We’re pleased to say the first pool tables have now arrived. It’s the first step in bringing the youth club to life.

Launching This Summer

We’re planning to open the youth club this summer.

We’re still working through the final details, and we’ll share more information on timings, sessions, and how to get involved as we get closer to launch.

What we can say now is that this will be a space built for the community, shaped by the community, and open to those who need it most.

A Space That Grows With the Community

This isn’t a one-off project.

It’s something we’ll continue to build and develop over time, based on feedback and what young people need.

We’re proud to be creating a space that supports the next generation. Not just physically, but socially and emotionally too.
