July Gym Challenge: Wall Sit Showdown

Think you’ve got what it takes to top the leaderboard?
This July, we’re challenging Horizon members to test their strength, endurance and determination in our Wall Sit Challenge.
Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, beat your personal best or climb your centre’s leaderboard, now is your chance to get involved and see how you compare against other members.
The Challenge
Slide into position against a wall and hold a wall sit for as long as possible whilst holding a weight plate.
Women: Hold a 5kg weight plate
Men: Hold a 10kg weight plate
Feeling confident? You’re welcome to increase the weight and take on an even bigger challenge.
Challenge Rules
- Enter as many times as you like throughout July
- Women must hold a 5kg plate minimum
- Men must hold a 10kg plate minimum
- Wall sit position must be maintained throughout
- A member of the team must time and record your attempt
- The longest hold wins
Challenge Period: 1 July – 31 July
How To Take Part
Getting involved couldn’t be easier:
- Find a suitable wall space in the gym.
- Grab your weight plate.
- Get into position and hold.
- Ask a member of the team to time your attempt.
- Submit your score to the leaderboard.
You can enter as many times as you like throughout the month, giving you plenty of opportunities to improve your score and climb the rankings.

The member with the longest recorded wall sit at the end of July will win a FREE month of membership and become our July Gym Challenge Champion.
